I fell in love with RM the first few days of wintermission

by Nelson Roth
Relevant Ministry hosts short-term mission trips for teams at the RM Center in Pass Christian, MS.  There are opportunities to serve with RM either as a team member or as an intern.

A one-year internship consists of 40 weeks of leadership training and development along with practical ministry experience.  Interns have an opportunity to serve in a local church and to help build up the church where they serve.

A Relevant Ministry internship provides an opportunity to experience spiritual mentoring and coaching in the area of ministry an intern would be serving in at a church.

Brittany Harkin shares how she was impacted during a week long mission trip by a Relevant Ministry intern, Kyle Long.

Thirty-six of us came to Mississippi to serve others. The servant’s hearts we saw at Relevant Ministry were like feeling the love of God firsthand.

Kyle Long, an RM intern, gave morning devotions about praying BIG prayers and I asked God to use me in whatever BIG way he wanted. So, God chose to use me in the lives of children who are often overlooked.

I have many stories about kids at the school where I served and the Boys and Girls Club that had been given up on. Throughout the week, I got to show the kids I believed in them and I met a very inspirational teacher that shares the word of God with students.

Although our group was not allowed to mention the name God, we could show them God’s unconditional love and his character was revealed; which stirred up a curiosity.
